Famous Game Show Host Passed Away At 83

Chuck Woolery, the beloved game show host best known as the first host of Wheel of Fortune, has passed away at 83. His death occurred at his Texas home after he mentioned feeling unwell and later struggled with breathing. Despite efforts to call emergency services, Woolery tragically passed before help could arrive.

Born on March 16, 1941, in Ashland, Kentucky, Woolery began his career in music before transitioning to television. He hosted Wheel of Fortune from 1975 to 1981 and later became the face of Love Connection and Scrabble. Woolery’s charisma and humor made him a household name, and his influence on the game show genre remains significant. He is survived by his wife, Kim, and four children.
